Hi there friend,

I do not know much about Purple, other than he was about 75, had a cancerous kidney removed in March of 2014 and was not at all well these past weeks with a "burning mouth" according to my dear friend Jan Mortimer. Bill was a wonderful player who left the game go for fifty years, but returned with no apparent loss of strength to his game! He was a really nice gentleman who ran a club at Goldtoken. I will miss him greatly. Best wishes, Lindus
