District 7 contains States: Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin - District 7 Manager: George Stallsworth

The ACF District # 7 Championship will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the East Hills Shopping Center / "Food Court," 3702 Frederick Avenue, St. Joseph, Missouri 64506 (map).  We will play 6 rounds only with a 45 minute time limit per game.  Registration starts at 8:00 am; play will stat at 9:00 am.  For more information contact George Stallsworth, 816-689-2859 or email dstallsworth@stjoelive.com  Entry fee: $10.00. The District 7 Champion must be a member of the ACF.

  • The District 7 Tournament was held on Saturday, August 15th, at the East Hills Mall in St. Joseph, Missouri, with 6 players attending: Jim Albin, John Pestal, and Dave Stovie from Nebraska; Neil Wenberg from North Dakota, and Wilma Wolverton and myself from Missouri.

  • Dave Stovie and Neil Wenberg tied with 11 points each making them co-champions for District 7. As there was only one trophy, they played one round to see who got the trophy. It too was a draw so they decided to flip a coin. Dave won the toss. Congratulations to both champions!
  • This was a very enjoyable tournament. All players finished their games in a timely manner. All players were evenly matched. Only two points separated first place from last place. The top 2 players had 11 points; the next 2 had 10 points and the last two players had 9 points.
  • Following the tournament, most of the players went to the Golden Corral for lunch and enjoyed more fellowship together!
  • The prize fund was $360 ($60 entry fees plus $300 donated by Joe McDaniel). Thank you, Joe, for your generous contribution. It was very much appreciated.
