Michael Holmes announced that Dr. Harbolt has agreed to have the USA GAYP Youth National in their gym. Every child will receive the ACF brochure and tournament date (June 22), time (4pm to 5:30pm) with specific prizes to be listed.  Participating youth will receive certificates and trophies.  Charles Walker donated board and checker sets as well as funding in addition to support from the ACF.

The “Nativity Academy at Saint Boniface” Louisville, KY is hosted checkers on Monday afternoons.  The Youth Checker Club will meet weekly, every Monday. We play checkers in a supportive environment to improve knowledge and skill as well as fun and friendship. We will also have ACF Sanctioned Youth Tournaments. Contact: Michael Holmes

ACF Go-As-You-Please Youth National Checkers Tournament | Held in gym at Nativity Academy at St Boniface, 529 East Liberty Street, Louisville, KY 40202 | June 22, 2015 - 4pm to 5:30pm 1st Place Hanna Morrison, 8 points, Prize money $130.00 2nd Place Adalik Garcia, 7 points, Prize money $100.00 3rd place Terry Martin, 5 points, Prize money $80.00 Tied 4th through 6th place is: Dominque O'Bannon, 2 points, Prize money $70.00 Katie Morrison, 2 points, Prize money $70.00 Emma Morrison, 2 points, Prize money $70.00 Each child received one laminate checkerboard and checkers from Charles Walker, one newly designed checkers/chess board (It has both checker and chess board numbers on it), a trophy, and a book. Charles Walker (International Checkers Hall of Fame) donated $100.00 and checkerboard sets. ACF donated $350.00. Michael Holmes donated $70.00, books, and the newly designed chess/checkerboards.
