Honorable Ronald Spivey:

On behalf of NCCA, its officers, and all tournament players I want to thank you for visiting our State Tournament and dignifying checkers.  We completed this traditional state event successfully with the presence of a public figure who appreciates this great game.  It was an honor to recognize you and we welcome you back any time you want to play or visit us.  We are proud of our own Sanford Celebrity and Checker Playing Judge.

I appreciate and cherish the Military/Commander’s Coin and Presidential Pen, and I know the others who received it do also.  We treasure and respect what you represent and the NC Judicial System.   This coin is a constant reminder of our Great State and the effort it takes to keep it great.

I received your appreciation card several days ago and again thank you for coming by and bringing your uncle Mr. Ray Branch.  I look forward to you being in Greensboro in January 2008.

We congratulate you and the new addition to your family.

I have posted the tournament results on our NC website www.nccheckers.org

Sincerely,

J R Smith
