Dear Robert and Becki:

On behalf of NCCA, its officers, and all participating donors for this cause I want to thank you for your generous contribution to the Elbert L Lowder name placement fund.  This is a worthy and fitting tribute for Elbert.  His name will be associated with Sanford and Lee County as a contributor to the 100th Centennial.  The wall plaque will be prominently and permanently displayed at the Lee County Court House.  This will identify Elbert as: "In memorial" - Elbert Lane Lowder - NC State Checker Champion - 34 Times.

I have enclosed a DVD which I will continue to expand with newspaper articles and other things of interest, this is the first edition, but I wanted you to have it since you are one of the first to respond.  I will send you the finished edition when I complete it.  Obviously we will keep the fund program open until November.

Enclosed is also a tax number so you may deduct this contribution amount from your taxes.

Our state tournament was successful and I have posted the results on our NC website www.nccheckers.org
