David Michael (Mike) Choate, Sr.,
age 80, of Lenoir City, formerly of Madisonville, passed away 4:40 P.M.
Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Wood Presbyterian Home in Sweetwater. He owned
and operated Linda’s Used Furniture & Antiques for over 30 years. He was of the
Baptist faith and loved the study of God’s word. He also loved his family and
was an avid tournament checker player.
Survivors, wife of 60 years, Linda Wilburn Choate, son and daughter-in-law, Rev. David Michael Choate, Jr. and Coleen Choate, grandchildren and spouses, Joshua and Bailey Choate, Andy and Natalie Choate, great-grandchildren, Corin Mynatt, Briar Choate, Henry Choate, Lydia Choate, sister and brother-in-law, Suzie and Randy Hill, special friend, Darlene White.
Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens, Rev. David Michael Choate, Jr. and Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
