Carl was a gentleman and a fine checker player who enjoy playing all his life. He was an ACF member and NCCA member who lived in Rocky Mount most of his life and moved to Greensboro after his wife died, to be near his sister, nieces, and nephews.

He was always ready to play checkers when I could get by Blumenthal Nursing Home.

We dearly miss him.
