The 2011 (11-Man) National is scheduled for
February 10th - 13th 2011 (Thursday thru Sunday) at Econo Lodge and Suites, 120 Seneca Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406 (336) 275-9575. Mention you are with the "Checker Group" or speak to Mrs. Shar the manager.
We have a block of 20 rooms reserved under at a special rate of $49.99 + tax for doubles or kings available May 9th - 14th.  We can use the Hotel playing room or the Libby Hill Restaurant meeting room.  Rooms will be held until February 6th Directions: Take (US 29, 70, I-40), South Greensboro, exit 221 go south on S Elm Eugene St, left on Seneca Rd, Hotel on right. The number of participants will determine if we play at hotel or Libby Hill Seafood Restaurant, 3011 Randleman Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 (336)-275-7688 which is a short distance from hotel. We plan at least 2 divisions with the lower class finishing before Sunday. Piedmont Triad International Airport to Econo Lodge by shuttle/taxi (21 minutes/18miles) $30-35. 

Mayor Bill Knight will welcome players Friday morning, and we will have newspaper & local TV (Fox 8-wghp) coverage.

Tournament Trophies awarded to top four finishing players and players' diplomas presented to all players.

Due to National status of event and ACF sanctioned tournament, all participants must be ACF members which may be purchased at registration.

4 Hour Clock - Allows 2 Hour per Game and 2 Rounds per day, Thursday thru Sunday, Break for 1 Hour Lunch (vote on schedule at business meeting)  various restaurants & eateries just a short drive.  Registration at 8 AM Thursday 1 Round before Lunch and 1 afterwards, 8 Rounds of Swiss style play scored by game.  Tim Laverty Official Referee/Scorekeeper
