On behalf of NCCA & ACF, its officers, and all tournament players, I want to thank you for visiting and speaking at our Elbert Lowder Memorial -11 Man National Checker Tournament. We enjoyed your welcome talk about Albemarle and it was nice of you recalling your high school remembrance of Elbert. You are a good spokes person and we would love to have you at our up coming 2008 NC State Checker Tournament - Carolina Open. We would appreciate you repeating your appearance at 9AM May 16th, 2008 at Sleep Inn & Suites, 621 SR 24/27 East Bypass, Albemarle, NC. We will be in the Meeting Room as our last tournament.
We completed our National event with a nice article in Stanly News & Press. There will be a playoff for the World 11-Man Championship Title between Tim Laverty of Sanford, tournament winner and the current World Champion Alex Moiseyev of Dublin, Ohio, later this year.
